22-year-old violinist Simon Zhu wins the 57th International Violin Competition “Premio Paganini”.
The young violinist from Germany convinced the jury performing the Brahms Concerto and Concerto n. 1 by Niccolò Paganini, also winning the Special Prize offered by the “Pallavicino” Foundation for the best performance of Niccolò Paganini’s concerto for Violin and Orchestra.
2021
In May 2021, he won the second prize at the Menuhin International Violin Competition in Richmond, USA, as well as the Mozart Special Award and the European Community EMCY Award for his outstanding performance in the Menuhin Competition.

The 1st prize at the 7th international chamber music competition Bydgoszcz 2020 with his duo partner Adam Tomaszewski.
